Well folks, here we are again
with a new table for you – this time the Trog Trophy. For those of you who
are new to the club (or who haven’t been paying attention!!) this is for
our mugs, sorry, members who enjoy losing sleep, holiday and cash for the
fun of running your events. I guess it’s a measure of stupidity as I seem
to be leading at present (and there’s not much left on our calendar for this
year). Just to double check I’ll let others on the committee look at my figures
to make sure I’m not cheating. Next month I’ll try to produce a list of Chalky White points scorers which is for all you good guys and gals who help by marshalling on our events (it would be a useful exercise to compare the names on that list with the names on the Rose & Crown list to see who’s pulling their weight and who thinks these events happen as if by magic. As you will all be aware by now (or should be) next year is Jubilee Year – yes we’ve nearly made it to 50. During that year we intend to put on events which celebrate Sevenoaks as one of the best motor clubs in the country; this will, of course, take a lot of organising and helping so if it’s going to work YOU need to join in. I hope we’ll be producing a calendar for this soon so that you can prepare your own 2004 to get the most out of your membership – I look forward to dishing out points to everyone, and I don’t care about the workload. I’ve just recovered from the Spotted Dick (not in a medical sense – thank you!) so I’ll leave it there for now, except to say that I need lots of results from you all for events to which we are invited so that I can make a start on the Tyrrell – Fleming Trophies.
