Many congratulations to Roy Nicholls on clinching the 2004 Speed League. As you will have seen from the results, 2004 was as always an extremely competitive year and with the winning margin of only one point it could hardly have been a closer finish. Many thanks also go to our championship co-sponsors; Ric Lee of StorGuard and John and Simon Miles of Verdant, for their support during the year.

Next month will see your committee deliberating over the allocation of the discretionary awards in preparation for our Annual Awards evening at Leavers Manor, Hadlow on Saturday 5^th February 2005. Tickets can be obtained from Andy and Viv Elcomb, but please remember to book early to avoid disappointment, as last year the event was over subscribed. However, please note that if any of you are hoping to win the Bent Con-rod trophy, then you are going to be hard pressed to beat my three separate nominations from the 2004 season (more details next month)!
