SPEED EVENTS ARE “FUN”!

I was forced to return recently from a Team Kemsing outing to Boscombe Down on the back of a recovery truck.John’s donation for Hales’ Name that Part Quiz!  The next morning investigating why the engine wasn’t running, I discovered most of the items in the photo conveniently laid out for easy inspection in the sump!
This minor mechanical malfunction was triggered by the breakage of the special big end bolts.  Other collateral damage was a cracked block and bent pushrods and valves!
After seriously toying with transferring my allegiance to the Sevenoaks and District Flower Arranging Society, a fresh Essex lump has now been assembled (with different big end bolts) and “fun” has been resumed.
Handy Hint—whilst being out of action I saved considerable expense on entry fees, petrol, overnight stays etc etc!
