Monthly Mug – March 2006
I
’ve enjoyed rallying ever since I joined our club; I’ve travelled a fair way to do it and have had just a small amount of success, that’s the way I wanted it. Others, however, are capable of greater things, and have the will and drive to overcome difficulties to get there. This was shown in March by Stefan Davis and John Bond who came a very creditable 12th on the Rally of Kent.
This alone would have been worthy of a Monthly Mug but, to follow on from the theme of my opening paragraph, Stefan had been competing on the Malcolm Wilson Rally the previous day in Cumbria, having made the 400 mile trip back over night. There he suffered a broken clutch while doing well; to come 12th on an ANCRO Clubman round after that is certainly an achievement – well done both of you.
