Well what a farce the end of the Austrian grand Prix was with Barrachello
backing off on the exit of the last corner to let Schumacher past to take
the win. Call me a cynic but Schumacher appeared quite happy to take the
win until he heard the boos from the crowd when he appeared on the podium,
then suddenly he had a change of heart! If this is what Grand Prix racing
has come to, then I’d rather not waste two hours watching it every other
Sunday. I sincerely hope that the FIA don’t let Ferrari off the hook when
they appear at the enquiry in Paris at the end of June. In fact it would
be quite nice to see all their championship points, both individual and
constructor, removed form the weekend! But I suspect that what we will
see is another fudge by Max and friends!
You’ll read elsewhere about the recent North Weald sprint, so I would
just like to remind you all that the Summer Autotest series is already
well underway and we’re always happy to see some new faces taking part.
Remember under-21’s can take part for FREE, so please encourage the younger
members to come along and have a go at a non-damaging event competing against
