Cars Wanted – For Shows

Still looking for cars for the  Motorsport News 50th anniversary festival at Brands Hatch on the 31st July. Anything in the race, rally or classic car line would be great.

3 cars are needed for Bromley and as many as we can get for Brands Hatch. You will be helping to promote grassroots motorsport and of course our club.

If you could offer your car for either (or both) of these events then contact me.

CRAB & WINKLE Regularity Run

Sunday 7th August

Starting at Tesco's Whitstable, this Sunday morning 12-car regularity run will comprise 3 regularity sections, based on the formats used by the HRCR Continental events, so the navigation will be really easy.  It starts at 10am, is all on map 179 and the 70 mile route will finish at a nice country pub in time for lunch.  Entry fee is only £12, with Alexander Forbes insurance available for an extra £15.50.  Only 12 cars maximum entry, so please enter early.  Email andy@blackpalfrey.co.uk to reserve your entry.

TOUR OF KENT - Sunday 18th September

Our annual non-competitive touring event again starts and finishes at the Conningbrook Hotel at Ashford.  You have the option of route instructions in an easy 'Tulip Roadbook', for which you don't even need to look at a map, or you can have some varied navigation instructions from which you can plot your route on the Landranger maps - take your choice. The straightforward route instructions also make the Tour extremely suitable as good practice for inexperienced co-drivers who want a fun day out and who want to learn a little more about the noble art of rally navigating and route finding. Along the way there will be several manned 'Passage Controls' and a few 'Codeboards' to look out for, as a check that you've been along the correct route.  Our Concours Judges will be inspecting the cars at various opportunities during the day, so if your car is looking its best you could be up for a special prize. Every entrant gets a special finishers award and a great meal is provided at the finish – that and lunch are all included in the very reasonable entry fee of £55.

We also will need a few marshals for these two events so if you can help out in that area get in touch.
