Hillclimb/Sprint Mini

Class 1 car.

1380 Minispeed engine, stage 3 head, 286 cam, billet flywheel & competition clutch, Weber 45 with 4.5” manifold, 1.5 roller rockers. 98bhp on the last rolling road session when new and a few parts have been changed in the transmission so will be slightly more now. Full RC 40 exhaust. 2 core radiator and 13 row oil cooler with braided pipes.

Ultimate engine steady.

1:1 straight cut drop gears, 3.7 final drive, central oil pick-up pipe.

Extensive body re-build 2001 including new wings, new front panel, A panels, door skin, rear boor floor, boor step and other work. GRP boot and bonnet.

Recent laminated windscreen.

Safety devices 6 point full cage with door bars, Corbeau Pro Race 2 drivers seat, Corbeau bucker passenger seat, Full harnesses. Fully lightened interior (within the regs) Black interior.

Adjustable shift light and separate pod rev counter.

KAD 4 pot callipers with 7.9” disks, Cooper S rear, Full braided hoses, recent master cylinder and bias valve. EBC green competition pads.

1.5 Negative camber fixed arms on the front with heavy duty tie bars, Adjustable rear camber, Recent new GAZ shocks all round. Ripspeed Hi-Los. Lowered 1.5” – 2.5”.

Suspension professionally set up.

Magnesium 10” wheels with Yokohama A008’s all round.

It is fully road legal and is taxed with MOT. It is a good strong well built competitive car. It does not burn oil and maintains good oil pressure. It has always been quite rattly. I have been told this is worn out rockers and they will need changing sometime. It has not got any noisier with use though. It comes with many spares including a 1340 and a 1380 race engine. A very good gearbox, 4 alloy wheels, 2 new Yokohama A008’s and a few panels and other bits.

This has been my car for 11 years. I have competed in it for 2 seasons. It has received 7 class wins and was 4th in the championship in 2003, 6th in 2004. I am emigrating to New Zealand next year, it was my plan to take it with me but I have researched and discovered it is too modified for road use, this combined with the high shipping costs mean I have to sell.

Set of 4 5x10” alloys, unique to your run of the mill wheels usually seen at the shows, one has been refurb’d the rest are stripped to bare alloy, with remoulds, all legal tread. £80
