Welcome to the

Golden Jubilee Sprint

Sevenoaks & District Motor Club and Maidstone & Mid-Kent Car Club are pleased to announce the Golden Jubilee Sprint at Lydden on 10th April 2004, in recognition of S&DMC 50th year, M&MCC already having reached this milestone some years ago.

Both clubs have immense experience at running sprints at Lydden and elsewhere and have successfully collaborated on other events over the past few years. This will be their first joint running of a Lydden sprint and as those experienced competitors will see our officials have come out of the top drawer of both clubs.

In addition to our regional championship contenders we are also pleased to welcome a return from the National ‘A’ Sprint Series and for the first time the first round of the John Cooper Challenge for the BMW MINI Coopers.

The aim of the day is for ALL competitors to enjoy a quick and safe day’s motorsport. We are limiting entry to 110 cars to ensure everyone gets in their full allocation of runs so please ensure that you complete and return your entry early to avoid staying at home all Easter!

In order to ensure a full grid we have kept the entry fees down to an absolute minimum as the circuit charges have increased by a further 10% this year, a full entry and not a surplus is our aim

We will of course need plenty of marshals to help keep the event running smoothly. It should be a great day so if you can come out to help, then please ring or email Chris Scudder and offer your services.

As well as receiving the entry form through the traditional means, regs for this event can also be downloaded from the clubs’ websites. Whether you are a competitor or a marshal, both clubs look forward to welcoming you on 10th April.
