Rallye Sunseeker Bournemouth Saturday 23rd Feb 2002

It’s that time of year again so who’s on for some southern sunshine the weekend after the Kent?
We have been asked to man three or maybe four Passage Checks the same as last year. Some are at stage finishes, thus allowing some spare bodies to spectate, and you get to see the walking wounded as they limp out of a stage.
This is your chance to help out Southern/Croydon clubs, both of which assist us in our ventures. Marshalling on this event also counts for Rose & Crown qualifying and general marshalling points (2 points available). It may not be high profile work, but it is vital to the smooth running of this big event. We will be telephoning the times in to HQ so they can get up to the minute results issued and onto the radio.
Ideal numbers are around six, they can easily cover the job and a bit of traffic control if needed. No previous experience required as there is bound to be someone who has been before. A nice, sociable day out even when Roy Dawson goes!
I’m co-ordinating it for Roger Sawyers who is wearing his Croydon hat that weekend.
So, volunteers to me sooner rather than later please!

Andy Elcomb
