MARSHALS MUMBLINGS

First of all let me wish you a belated Happy New Year and thank all of you who responded to my phone calls begging for help last year.
Now that the club is organising bigger events more marshals are needed.  NORTH WEALD now needs a minimum of 30 marshals with the new course and no lunch break for marshals, compared with 10 to 12 on the old course.
The Spotted Dick and Custard Stage Rally at LONGCROSS needs 100 marshals as a minimum.
At these larger events  we have to rely on help from other clubs to ensure that we have enough marshals and in turn we are asked by other clubs to help them at their events.
I will not be able to be chief marshal at all of the events the club is organising this year, so volunteers  are required. I will be available to give advise before the event and will be there on the day so you will not be dropped in the deep end and left to get on with it. If you fancy having a go then give me a call  for more details of what is involved.
Enclosed with this ACORN  is a Marshals' Request Form  with all the events on, Please return the form letting me know what events you may be able to help on.  This is so I can build a database of names to pass onto whoever is chief marshal at the event, who will contact you nearer the time.  Remember that without marshals there is no sport.
