The season is now well under way. Sadly we couldn’t run the Kent Rally this year, we didn’t get enough entries (19) and we couldn’t cover all the controls on the route; the combination of which would have produced a poor event and I didn’t feel I could ask those stalwarts who had volunteered to marshal to stay out all night for so few cars. My thanks go to those of you who did the PR work and to those who were prepared to help on the night.

The Rally of Kent did run and, despite fears that the entry level would not be sustainable, we got just over 60 crews out for a great event in Kent’s forests. There was also a 12-car we ran on the Friday before the Rally of Kent and you’ll see the results elsewhere, again thanks for your support of this event.

Following from the cancellation of the Kent Rally we’ve been giving thought to a lower key, novice rally to encourage the 12-car participants to venture out on something a bit bigger but not as heavy as an all-nighter – more of this when our ideas have gelled.
