A letter to the TRK
Hi there,
As I finished my last speed event, I thought I should give you a summary of my 2003 season.
I have been concentrating on racing at Lydden and Silverstone this last year, competing in the Credit Professional’s Sports Car championship. I took part in 9 races, won my class in 6 of them, and came 2nd in two races, one at Lydden and the other at Silverstone.
One race was a complete failure however, when a valve met a piston with disastrous results. Luckily Mr Swifttune had enough bits under his bench to effect a repair and the car is back on track, although the engine doesn’t feel as smooth as it did.
As a result of my efforts in the 2003 season, I won the Credit Professional’s championship, so all the expense and midnight oil burning was worth it.
Sadly because of the racing I have missed my usual diet of sprints, but I hope to taste once more the delights of North Weald and such like in 2004.
Hope to see you very soon.
All the best
Paul Bernal-Ryan
